SIANA JOY DAVIS

Siana is a warm and enthusiastic person who holds a deep love of music and connecting with others. Her passion to learn about music and its contributions to health led Siana to graduate with her Masters of Music Therapy (M.Mus.Thy.) through The University of Melbourne in 2023. Prior to finishing her Masters, Siana has also obtained a Bachelor of Music Performance and Songwriting (B.Mus.) and a Diploma of Music Industry (Dip.Mus.Ind.) She is proud to be a Registered Music Therapist (RMT) accredited by the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA), and a Professional Musician within the Australian Music Industry.

 

Siana has a background as a multi-instrumentalist, and has established a name for herself in the music industry for writing and publishing music, performing in bands, and extensively touring as a professional performer, singer, and bass player. Siana has also mentored upcoming musicians on their journeys within the music industry.

 

Guitars

Throughout her music therapy journey, Siana has offered music therapy across the lifespan. She has extensive experience facilitating individual and group music therapy programs within allied health facilities, aged care residencies, hospitals, and at-home locations. Siana has worked with older adults experiencing dementia, acquired brain injury, and various autoimmune diseases, as well as additionally working with autistic adolescents and children, and adults affected by acute mental health conditions.

 

Siana is neurodiverse and also shares many lived experiences coming into the music therapy rooms. She holds qualities of advanced empathy, care, and connection within her work, and is committed to offering holistic music therapy services that upholds person-centred, trauma-informed, and neuro-affirming approaches. Siana has experience working alongside families and contributes extensively amongst allied health teams to produce the most positive and empowering experiences for every client working towards their healthcare goals.
